MIA WOMELDORPH
Dancer / Model
BIOGRAPHY
Mia Womeldorph, born and raised in Florida, embodies the essence of kindness, authenticity, and passion in the world of dance. From her earliest years, she attended weekly ballet and she briefly explored gymnastics. But it was at the age of nine, amidst her mother’s battle with breast cancer, that Mia’s devotion to dance ignited.
Mia dove headfirst into varsity cheer during her freshman year of high school, quickly loving it and being named a UCA All American Cheerleader. Mia has extensive experience in tumbling and basing/backspotting in stunts. However, she made a bold decision to transition to homeschooling for the remainder of high school. With a keen eye on her future, Mia plans to graduate a year ahead of schedule, channeling her passion into dance. Embracing a myriad of styles- including jazz, contemporary, jazz-funk, lyrical, ballroom, bollywood, hip-hop, tap, ballet, acro and musical theater- she showcases a versatility that sets her apart. Yet, it is Mia’s captivating stage presence, raw emotion, and acute musicality that leave an indelible mark.
Mia finds herself humble and grateful for her accolades, including Platinum Artist of the Year Nominee, Velocity MVA Winner, Platinum Photogenic Winner, and Radix Protege RU. Also earning scholarships into renowned institutions such as the Joffrey Ballet School intensive and trainee program, Theater Arts Preparatory School (TAPS), AMDA BFA program, and an invitation to a prestigious exchange program in Spain. Mia’s modeling journey took a jumpstart as she tapped into the spotlight as a model and ambassador for Werk Dancewear.
Her dance adventure saw her grace local holiday parades and the stages of Disney Springs. Joining Heat Crew, pre-professional hip-hip company, and Heat Force, pre-professional jazz & contemporary company, Mia found herself in the midst of revered dancers like Helene Philips, Comfort Fedoke, Marty Kudelka, Julius Anthony Rubio, and Heather Morris. Blessed with opportunities to assist at Artistic Dance Exchange, Mia absorbed wisdom from industry luminaries like Kevin Frey, Gianna Martello, Geo Hubela, Ryan Ramirez, Robbie Blue, and Ashley Sanchez. Additionally, she is mentored by Menina Fortunato in her Business of Dance Mentorship Program.
Driven not only by her pursuit of dance excellence but also by her desire to be a force for good, Mia aspires to not just be a talented dancer but also a compassionate human being. With plans of gracing the runways of New York Fashion Week for designers like Willow Bean and Kayzie Couture, Mia’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of passion and perseverance.
